i think a lot of good work gets done that way and there is something comforting about this coming together to help out -- not through the transfer of funds or be-fan-ing something on facebook -- but in real life with real people.
this was during a comcast- led effort in sl elementary schools.

I covered this event last year! It was so fun. I was so impressed that that many teachers would come on their day off to help clean the school.
