kuh-myoo-ni-tee

spring is time for volunteer projects, when it smells like mulch and pizza and people wear matching t-shirts.
i think a lot of good work gets done that way and there is something comforting about this coming together to help out -- not through the transfer of funds or be-fan-ing something on facebook -- but in real life with real people.
this was during a comcast- led effort in sl elementary schools.

saltair

went down to saltair with two lovely companions, saltair, where it smells fresh and spicy and in between a little foul. windswept and wide open and it's amazing how those harmless ideas for little trips can turn into adventures that carry you through some of the not so mind blowing stuff until the next weekend.

holi

sorry for the overkill but i've been kind of on a dry spell in terms of visual assignments and it was my first time at holi. i guess the spanish fork temple puts on the biggest celebration in north america. it was such a nice day out there with people chanting and singing and being so obviously happy in a contagious way that just kind of fills you from the inside.
