I shot a job fair for homeless people in New Britain today. They also got free hair cuts, dental services, clothes and other things. It was at this windowless conference room, so needless to say, the light sucked and the white balance changed every time I turned. After getting enough shots for the paper using flash, I stuck around and shot some frames with available light. I was surprised at how the mood in the photos changed immediately, I guess also my style of shooting. I've been doing that a lot lately. Shooting for the paper first, but along the way getting different shots for myself. Images I know wouldn't fly on our pages. But ultimately I think the ones I'm most attached to.
